On the 12th May 2017, we lost Julie (mum, nan, and partner at the young age of 53) to Ovarian Cancer. Julie had a short battle with cancer after being diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer on 8th February 2017. Within 3 months, Julie had subsequently passed away.
On the 12th May 2018, 'Team Julie' will mark the 'One Year Anniversary' by partaking in a challenge to fundraise for Target Ovarian Cancer. Ovarian cancer is difficult to detect, with no reliable screening tools. Through fundraising, we hope to be able to support women to get an earlier diagnosis with a better chance of life.
Team Julie, with the youngest member being Jack (aged 7), will be walking 13km around Bala Lake. The route is over sections of open moorland and low-lying hills with a total ascent of 1,700 ft (510m). The route is expected to take approximately 4-5 hours.
All donations are gratefully received. And if you are a UK taxpayer, Pleasefor every eligible donation, 25% is reclaimed from the government, which means more money goes to the charity.
